Michael Badger
Michael Badger (b. 1992, Accra, Ghana) is an artist proficient in traditional and digital mediums, crafting surrealistic pieces. Michael’s art delves into the realms of suppressed inner worlds, fears, and dreams, navigating the challenges of growing up and seeking direction in a society marked by increasingly rigid conservative ideals and gender norms. Michael Badger’s works have been exhibited at a group exhibition with Immerse Ghana, Accra (2023), In Relation To Light, Accra (2023), Celebrate Her: A Tribute To Women And Nonbinary Artists, Accra (2023). Michael has had work featured on products from renowned makeup artist Pat Mcgrath (2017-2018) and won a competition for an eco-friendly red carpet dress in collaboration with Vivienne Westwood and Red Carpet Green Dress, worn at the Oscars in 2013. They have a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Fashion Design from SCAD Atlanta.
