Molly Roberts (b.1998) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Working across various mediums, including ceramics, sculpture, drawing, and tattooing, Roberts’ art delves into themes of self-protection and the balance between chance and choice. Known for their spiked ceramic vessels, Roberts challenges conventional notions of femininity with work that is hard, sharp, and unapologetic.
A recent graduate from the University of Johannesburg, Roberts co-founded The House of Special Things, a collaborative art space fostering community and cross-pollination among artists. Their ceramics were recently featured in the 2024 edition of 100% Design with Kalashnikovv Gallery.
