Sibusiso Bheka
Born in 1997 in Thokoza, Bheka joined the Of Soul and Joy project in 2012 and graduated in photography from the Vaal University of Technology in 2018.
His work has been exhibited locally at the Johannesburg Art Gallery, Constitution Hill, Cape Town Art Fair, and internationally at the International Festival of Gand, , Addis Foto Fest, the 11th edition Rencontres de Bamako-African Biennale of photography.
Bheka was shortlisted for the Magnum Foundation Photography and Social Justice Fellowship in 2018 and in 2019 he was nominated for the Joop Swart Masterclass. In 2022, he was a Noor Resident in Amsterdam and in 2024 Bheka will be in Paris for a 3 month artist residency at Cite des Arts.
