Ra-ees Saiet
Cape Town born artist currently based in Johannesburg. He graduated from the Michealis School of fine art in 2014 and has exhibited and sold work internationally since then, despite not practicing art consistently over this time.
His work looks at themes of presentation, authenticity and reproduction in a digital and cultural space. How these spaces and modes of production intersect and who validates them are points of interest in worlds and objects built from reference, duplication, repetition and personal context.
