Dimakatso Mathopa
Dimakatso Augustine Mathopa was born in1995 in Mpumalanga. She is a visual artist living and practising in Johannesburg after completed a B. Tech degree at the University of Johannesburg in 2018. As a student Dimakatso majored in printmaking with a special focus on photographic processes such as Cyanotype, Silkscreen and Van Dyke Brown printing.
Her work was exhibited at The Vogue Photo Festival in Italy, Biennial of African Photography in Malaga, Paris Photo, ARCO Lisbon.
Mathopa was one of the finalists for the prestigious Norval Sovereign African Art Prize 2023.
