Ceylan Gerber
Ceylan Jayre La Treal(b. 2001) is a visual Artist born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The medium in which he expressed himself are through acrylic, gouche and digital illustrations.
His work primarily focuses on portraiture due to the power it holds, using various mediums such as digital illustrations, acrylic paint, gouache and ink transfers, he explores themes relating to class, identity and materiality. Exploring what it means to be and how ones sense of self interacts with it, how do we behave within a group and what our actual values are.
He currently resides in Johannesburg where he is completing his degree in architecture and plan to incorporate his understanding of space into the work he produces.
