Tafadzwa Masudi (b. 1988) started painting at an early age in Harare while assisting a family friend who introduced him to the visual arts. In 2010 he moved to South Africa and started working in a clothing factory until 2020 when he was laid off. He saw this as an opportunity to paint full-time and soon his work was featured in group exhibitions at galleries in and around Cape Town. 2021 is proving to be an eventful year with participation in the online versions of the Turbine Art Fair in Johannesburg and Art X Lagos in Nigeria lined up.
