Jamil Parasol
Jamil Osmar Ramos (Parasol) is an Angolan curator, artist and game developer who graduated from LISAA University, one of the best video game development schools in France. With his unique approach to art, great creativity and knowledge, he worked with and for various artists and galleries in Luanda. He also teaches people to develop their artistic skills beyond technique, curates exhibitions like Hypnosis by Jahmek contemporary arts and was a fellow in the Arak fellowship program. He works on the artistic growth of Angola, by helping artists and creating works of art about the Self and the Being, deconstructing different aspects of modern societies, especially Angolan, challenging the observer to meditate and question his own existence, while using found objects and recycling as a way to tell stories and bring awareness on the global environmental damage we are currently causing. Now, he is working as a curator at This Is Not A White Cube Art Gallery in Luanda.
