Aimee Messinger

Aimee Messinger was born 1996 in Cape Town and graduated from the University of Cape Town’s Michaelis School of Fine Art in 2019, majoring in Painting. Messingers artistic practice delves into the lightness and darkness that makes life what it is, with all the emotional waves we ride through it. Sometimes the waters are still and serene, and sometimes they are rough, as we struggle to reach the surface for a breath of air. What if we become more aware about these constant shifts, know they are ever-changing, and attempt to immerse oneself in the present moment?
