Tyra Naidoo (b. 1995, KwaZulu-Natal) is a Cape Town-based trans-disciplinary artist, curator, and mentor. A graduate of the Michaelis School of Fine Art, she has worked across local galleries, global residency programs, and independent curatorial projects. As a member of the Kutti Collective, Naidoo has exhibited widely, from commercial galleries and art fairs to nonprofit initiatives.
Her practice explores materiality as a thematic tool to navigate psychological and emotional responses to intimate socio-political experiences, particularly within diasporic culture and identity. Through a balance of fragility and aggression, her work challenges preconceptions, creating nuanced, thought-provoking visual narratives.
