Lisolomzi Pikoli is a visual artist and illustrator from South Africa. His work aims to interpret the mechanics of the modern world and our inherited wisdom through the human figure and its relationship to line, shape, form, movement and time. The main disciplines in his artistic practice revolve around painting, drawing, mural, installation and public art as a catalyst for social change, understanding and healing. Drawing and painting from his early childhood, he has gathered a wealth of both commercial and fine art experience. Lisolomzi has shown work individually and in group shows in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Berlin, London, Tokyo and Amsterdam. He has also been hosted as an artist-in-residence by the Trinity Sessions, Soul City movement and the Keleketla! Library in Johannesburg. In August 2017, he was selected as one of Mzansi’s (South Africa’s) Top 100 Young Independents.
