Khumo Ramaila

Khumo Ramaila (b. 2001) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Johannesburg, South
Africa. He began his formal training in visual arts at the National School of the Arts,
where he graduated in 2019. Ramaila furthered his education in fine arts with a
specialization in printmaking at Artist Proof Studio, where he is currently completing his
senior year. Under the mentorship of various experienced printmakers, he is dedicated
to honing his craft and achieving excellence in printmaking.
In the early stages of his career, Ramaila has participated in several notable
exhibitions, including the Fine Arts Print Fair (2019), TAF Paper (2023), Umsizi
Nopende (2023), Impressions on Paper (2023), Where You Are (2024), Latitudes Art
Fair (2024), Faces and Figures (2024), And Why Not A Print? (2025). Additionally,
he was part of the RMB Talent Unlocked mentorship program (2024), which focuses
on building a cohesive body of work and equipping artists with the necessary skills
to establish successful careers.
As Khumo Ramaila continues to evolve as an artist, we can anticipate significant
