Sara Weir

Sara Weir is an American film photographer, writer, professional ballerina, and mother of five living in the high desert of Nevada. Her work explores the tension between her roles as a mother and an artist through self-observational imagery and text. After a decade of photographing documentary portraits, Weir now turns her lens toward herself, using photography as a memoir to gain insight into her current experiences and identity.
