Silasse Salomone

Silasse Salomone born in Maputo, is a self-taught photographer whose journey began as an extracurricular activity. Over time, it evolved into a form of resistance and expression, starting with photographic tours alongside the “VÊSÓ” group of professional and amateur photographers. His work was first exhibited at the Núcleo da Arte gallery, where he was selected for the “Pais Com Amor” competition in 2017.
Silasse won the photography category of the “Ponte Que Liga Vidas” competition promoted by the CCMA in 2018. He attended the democraSEE photographic narrative construction workshop in 2020, guided by John Fleetwood, and participated in the CATCHUPA FACTORY artistic residency in 2021. His work has been exhibited collectively at the KYOTOGRAPHIE KG+2021 festival and the THE MARKET PHOTO WORKSHOP exhibition in 2024.
