Alphabet Zoo is a dynamic street-culture zine platform based in Johannesburg, currently spearheaded by artist and printmaker Minenkulu Ngoyi. Since its inception around 2010, Alphabet Zoo has dedicated itself to fostering and exposing Johannesburg's zine culture to both local and international audiences.
Operating for approximately 15 years (as of 2010), the platform actively engages the community through practical printmaking and zine-making workshops. It focuses on the creation and distribution of zines and is committed to continuously expanding its dedicated zine library.
Collaboration is central to Alphabet Zoo's ethos; over the years; it has invited partnerships with a diverse range of creatives including
