Colleen Winter describes herself simply as a "maker" — someone whose artistic practice is deeply process-driven and intuitive. Working in drawing (mixed media) and sculpture, she employs found materials, textiles, and paper to explore themes of transience, alchemy, materiality, self-reflection, and the cycles of life. Her art is an ongoing journey of grappling with inner and outer worlds—transforming them through a tactile, embodied creative process.
She has exhibited solo shows at Gallery 2, Johannesburg, including Matterings/Mutterings (2023) and Umpteen Impossible Things Before Breakfast (2024).
