Gordon Williams

Cape Town born (1965) Gordon Williams left his life of plumbing and woodwork six years ago to focus fulltime on his main passion, painting. Working mainly in acrylic and canvas, his first exhibitions were focussed on striking en plein air interpretations of the rugged Swartland landscape in and around his home of Riebeek Kasteel. He quickly became known for his honest and intuitive brush strokes which echo the impressionist and expressionist eras. In more recent years, Gordon has turned his attention to still life’s depicting floral arrangements in domestic settings with vibrant colours, distorted perspectives and geometric lines.
