Jean Brundrit
Jean Brundrit teaches photography in the Fine Art Department at the University of Cape Town and is an NRF rated researcher. Her research interests are primarily concerned with exploring the environment and identity. Her work pertaining to the environment is focused on the impact of rapid climate change and how this is represented in art; as well as the interconnectedness of humans and their relationship to the natural world. As a visual artist, she has exhibited extensively in South Africa and contributed to a number of international exhibitions. Images of the sea have featured frequently in recent projects. She participated in the annual relief voyage for the South African base in Antarctica, SANAE 59, aboard the research ship SA Agulhas II.
