Mpho Matheolane
Mpho Moshe Matheolane Is an Art History Lecturer (UP), Photographer and occasional writer for the Mail & Guardian and Africa is a Country amongst other platforms.
Matheolane was a researcher through the Wits Art Museum as part of his MA scholarship requirements and while there contributed to the publication of Robert Hodgins retrospective catalogue; ‘A Lasting Impression: The Robert Hodgins Print Archive’.
He is currently reading towards his PhD (Wits University) and is in the process of using his past life as a legal scholar and researcher (DGRU, UCT Law School) to consult on matters of cultural policy. His research interests include questions around Visual Culture as it pertains to Space(s), Land and Landscape phenomenology, Interpretation, theorising across disciplines namely art and legal theory, Comic books.
