Navel Seakamela
Navel Seakamela was born in Soshanguve, Pretoria, in 1991 and raised in Tembisa, Johannesburg. Seakamela went to public school where he studied engineering graphics and design and practiced art as his hobby. From 2007-2010 he practiced fine art full time at the Tembisa art Centre before studying Fine and Applied Art at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). His work consists of themes such as isolation, alienation and depression amongst our generation and captures the raw scenes which are mostly ignored and hidden within our society.
