Ulric Roberts

Ulric Roberts, also known as Namasun, is a visual artist hailing from Namaqualand, Northern Cape. His work draws deep inspiration from his roots and the natural beauty of Namaqualand, encompassing the environment, culture, and legends of the Nama people. Primarily working with oil paint, Ulric is based in Concordia and identifies as a visual storyteller, dedicated to portraying the stories of his community.
Ulric's notable achievements include participating in the 2005 Soul of Africa SADC Arts Exhibition, exhibiting internationally with SANAVA in 2007, and having his work included in the permanent collection of the William Humphrey’s Art Gallery in 2019.
