Welile Dube is an emerging female artist from South Africa with a multidisciplinary approach to her craft. Born and raised in Utrecht, KwaZulu-Natal, she relocated to Johannesburg in 2011 to pursue her artistic career. Dube graduated from the Design School of Southern Africa in 2016 with a qualification in Art and Design.
Following her formal studies, she honed her skills in printmaking at the prestigious Artist Proof Studio in Johannesburg, where she specialized in the techniques of etching, dry point, and linocut. While printmaking is her area of expertise, Dube's creative interests are wide-ranging, and she remains open to exploring other artistic paths, including photography, sculpture, portraiture, and graphic design, reflecting her versatile and developing practice.
