Abstract Experience

The artwork was inspired by an occasion at a soup kitchen in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, South Africa. The artist was in a queue waiting for his turn, but a hobo called him to the front because he said he didn’t look like the soup kitchen type. Afterwards, the artist experienced a hallucinogenic episode without taking any drugs, as he was eating his soup. The experience inspired him to go back home and interpret it visually.
