Lambi Chibambo is a multimedia artist based in South Africa. Through her art, she engages with past histories with a specific interest in cultural and traditional practices in Southern Africa. In particular, she explores how the symbiosis between nature and humanity shapes and sustains both collective and individual memory. Drawing from her Malawian-South African upbringing, the concept of home has always sparked a curiosity within her to better understand the holiness of agricultural practices, how they operate in tandem with the formation of identity, and how we convey kinship through these practices.
