The inspiration for this playful and upbeat piece is the schoolyard (the title is a play on the French word ‘l'école’ meaning school).
Once again, we see some of Djéka’s favourite Akan mechanics and ideograms – circles to depict life, red to depict blood and therefore lifeforce, and the bond between mother and child.
