Adolf Tega (b. 1985, Harare, Zimbabwe) began his artistic journey at the young age of ten, inspired by his artist uncle and brother. He honed his skills at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, where he also had his inaugural group exhibition. In 2008, Tega moved to South Africa, joining the Good Hope Art Studios to further develop his practice.
Tega quickly made his mark in the South African art scene. He held his first solo exhibition at AVA Gallery in Cape Town in 2012, followed by a second at World Art in 2014. His distinctive work is now featured in several prominent institutional and private collections, including those of Spier and the University of Cape Town. More recently, Tega was selected for the Nando’s Creative Exchange 2020, which culminated in an exhibition at the Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival, further cementing his growing recognition.
