Antionette McMaster
Born in 1970, Antionette McMaster is a mixed media artist who resides in Johannesburg, South Africa. She is currently completing her Honours Degree in Visual Art at Unisa.
Some of her artworks were selected to hang in the Unisa Visual Arts Building, while her workbooks are used for teaching purposes. Other artworks are on display at the Main Art Building at the Sunnyside Campus. Since 2017, McMaster has participated in several group exhibitions. She was represented by the Julie Miller African Contemporary Gallery in Craighall, Johannesburg between 2017 and 2020. In October 2019, three of her artworks were displayed at the African National Fashion Week at the Sandton Convention Centre. In 2020, 645 female artists were asked to submit artworks for the #ALLWOMXNMATTER, a collaborative initiative between the Julie Miller African Contemporary Gallery and Art@Africa. McMaster was rated amongst the top five artists on display.
