Blunt Moya is a self-taught South African photographer based in Johannesburg who takes interest in dissecting gender-based violence, thus, helping society reflect on this social issue. He believes that men should be allies to women, not perpetrators or oppressors. Moya also takes interest in capturing the way in which people coordinate their clothes (fashion), the mundane, works that celebrate humanity as well as wildlife. He has been featured in four exhibitions and has had 3 solo exhibitions. Moyo’s mission is to educate and facilitate rigorous & uncomfortable conversations about gender.
