Cobus van Bosch
Cobus van Bosch, born in Cape Town in 1962, is a painter of the human condition in southern Africa, past and present. Where he previously surveyed southern Africa's documented history, he now investigates more universal aspects of the human condition (such as paternalism and male power).
He mainly paints in oil on canvas in a figurative style, with an emphasis on texture and brushwork in order to achieve emotionally charged content.
