Maroula Lambis

Maroula Lambis
Maroula Lambis is a South African born self-taught photographer and current mentee of the Through the Lens Collective program. Working within the realms of photography and embroidery, her contemplative aesthetic reflects and comments on personal and collective happenings. She uses photography to explore melancholy themes such as solitude and isolation. In her embroidered works, the art of hand-stitching is meditatively combined with photography to create unique mixed media pieces.
