Sisanda Nxumalo

Sisanda Nxumalo (b.1998) is an illustrator, creative and mixed-media designer currently based in Cape Town. Nxumalo draws from her immediate environment and also utilises her experiences from the location she finds herself in towards her creative practice in photography. She describes her passion for illustration as the best medium through which she is able to articulate her thoughts and depictions that are informed by intrusive and often random thoughts. Nxumalo was previously enrolled in the Fine Arts programme at the University of Cape Town in 2016 before making the decision to move to follow her passion and transfer to the Durban University of Technology to study Graphic Design where she graduated in 2019. At present, Nxumalo wishes to expand her passion in illustration into the arts.
