Born in 1977 in South Africa, Sinalo started studying Art at Escourt High School. Some time after her arrived in Johannesburg, he joined Artist Proof Studio to study printmaking part-time until 2002.
Sinalo's work lies in the interest expressing his culture and heritage - particularly the Zulu culture and its customs. He depicts the ceremonial rituals that members of his culture go through. Seeing the importance of ones roots and their lineage, he is best known for his works which depict the Reed Dance. This ceremony is recognised as a rite of passage for young girls beckoning upon womanhood. He brings in an interesting male perspective of these events.
