Water Dixon

Water Dixon is a collaborative artist duo comprised of Caitlin Warther and Wendy Dixon. Working together from their base in Johannesburg, South Africa, they create mirror and light-based installation sculptures that produce subtle yet complex perceptual effects.

Their work delves into themes of time, identity, and spirit. By transforming architectural spaces, their installations often provoke a phenomenological experience, encouraging an internal dialogue between mind and body in the viewer. Through this interaction, they hope to foster an embodied learning of self and soul.

The duo's practice is a synthesis of its members' distinct but complementary skills. Caitlin Warther (b. 1990) is an interdisciplinary light artist with an MFA in Lighting Design from The Parsons School in NYC, bringing a deep investigation into what it means to inhabit space. Wendy Dixon (b. 1990) is a creative director and designer whose background in bridging rich graphic narratives with rigorous spatial design allows the duo to build powerful, immersive experiences.
