This sculpture was produced in 1966/7 when Dumile Feni visited Durban for his Durban Art Gallery exhibition. At the time he stayed with the artist Ebrahim Badsha, and his son Omar, who lived in an area called Douglas Lane, near the Indian market. The sitter is Rabia Badsha, Omar Badsha's sister.
