David Madlabane also known as David blakc is a visual artist based in Johannesburg. David specializes in a wide range of mediums such as drawing in ink , pencil charcoal , painting , digital art and producing music . He also specialises in printmaking techniques such as linocut , silkscreen and etching to name a few and has been an assistant at Artist Proof Studio working in the pro shop and at William Kentridges Studio . David was awarded the people's choice award at the Strauss and Co competition and won the first prize collaborating with Cartier at the FNB joburg artfair and was a finalist at the Blessing Ngobeni Art Prize . He intends to practice as a professional artist and establish himself as a international artist.
