Phila Hillie is an artist whose work is inspired by women, culture and space.

Her practice explores the ways in which those elements intersect and how they can be represented through the act of storytelling, composition and experimenting with new media. The exploration of life through making is something that she is guided by. 

She has a background in architecture, digital art and UI/UX. This multidisciplinary journey has informed the way in which she approaches her choices of medium. It has also informed her desire to create spaces in which women feel seen and celebrated and her hope is that women can be seen in all spaces (physical and digital).
