Kin is a set of 2 portraits. The faces have been gleaned from ink blots that mirror each other like Rorschach tests. The women face one another across the abyss of different generations. Their eyes are downcast in an act of acceptance, trust, and love. However, this does not allow for clearly seeing or acknowledging one another, and so trust and hope remain the most powerful bounds of the mother and daughter.
