exhibit i: the beginning

This artwork is part of an ongoing body of work exploring the artist's journey of self-discovery and reclaiming her intersectional identities. Through these self-portraits, the artist confronts the tensions between hiding aspects of oneself as a defense mechanism and the liberation of existing authentically. The pieces invite viewers to ponder societal pressures, personal boundaries, and the multifaceted nature of selfhood. Photograph printed on on 300 thread count cotton using the cyanotype process.
