RELIQUES introduces the first version of a mechanical system featuring two ceramic pieces. This sculpture, reminiscent of keys or an ancient language, is a relief tableau where each clay piece is complemented by its zinc counter-form. Leaning against the wall, it invites the viewer to remove the clay pieces and explore their mechanical assembly before returning them to their imprints. Like an active meditation or a wish-fulfilment mechanism, the pieces ultimately form a weaving.
