I wished to portray, via this work, the interconnection of all life. There is an invisible thread which runs through all things, and how we as humans need to experience nature and the natural world as much as possible. In the digital era in which we live, and especially after C19, the diminished occurrence of human physical contact and bonding is palpable. Most people spend their daily life engaged in traffic, concrete, devices and the like. As organic Beings - we are no different to plants - we need contact with fresh air and sunlight and the plants and all life around us to be well, to feel vital. Hence, it is my intention via this work to supply a moment of peace in nature - whether the work hangs in an office environment or a home - intending to bring the peace of nature indoors. The story here is - how the earth is allowing is us to breathe - literally creating the oxygen for us - from the Sea Forest phytoplankton - to the land forest trees - every breath we take and expel - mother earth is giving us life. The bottom right corner are fish, which turn into butterflies and then into birds – this symbolises the interconnection of all life - how everything is connected. We are never alone.
