Abstract expressionism is at the core of all Simone's work as she delves into her own sense of self and the complexities of life through color, form and expression. She believes that layers have the power to create depth and dimensionality. And it's through layering that she's able to process the intricacies and narratives of human experience.

In this abstract piece, as part of her show, When Nature Talks, Simone delves into the symbiotic relationship between sound, movement, and the embodiment of experiences within nature. Inspired by the transformative power of natural environments, particularly through snorkeling, waterfall hopping, and swimming, she immerses herself in the meditative rhythm of these experiences.

Nothing to hear, but everything to listen is painting encapsulates not only the visual beauty of natural landscapes but also the intangible essence of ease (or serenity) and wonder that such experiences brought forth.
