Tshepiso Moropa

Tshepiso Moropa is a visual artist from South Africa. Although she is best known for her large-scale collages, Tshepiso is also a prolific painter, sculptor and video artist. She explores a variety of themes including identity and storytelling as well as African spirituality, mythology, religion and migration. These themes connect to events from her childhood which she considers to be a therapeutic process. She has been featured within numerous exhibitions and publications including her first international exhibition at the Oakstop Gallery in Oakland, California (2021). Tshepiso is an archivist and researcher currently residing in Johannesburg.
