Ramotoana Mokgomme
Ramotoana was born in a small village called Indemaker, located in the Limpopo province. Having been exposed to art since the age of 5, his interest grew when he started primary school at Kgobokang Primary School. Ramotoana's art career was properly nurtured under his former teacher and mentor, Simon Moshapo. After moving to Johannesburg in 2009, he established his career as a full-time artist. In 2012, he enrolled at Johannesburg Art Gallery for printmaking lessons. In 2019, he worked at Artist Proof Studio and Constitution Hill (South Africa) at Chepape Makgato Studio as an assistant. He then went on to graduate from Artist Proof in 2019. He is currently a co-founder of So & Mo Basement Art Studio based in Parkhurst Recreation Centre, where he has been working with Mario Soares to specialise in printmaking, painting and collage. "
