OC George is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and creative director. His work spans new media, drawing, and conceptual art.
Born to an Igbo father and raised by a Yoruba mother, his formative years were riddled with the question of place and steeped in cultural juxtapositions that today inform his practice. Georges work explores meaning through the lenses of memory, identity, and faith. He shifts through mediums and spaces relaying dreamscapes and disjointed forms that mirror the human condition while simultaneously questioning it.
In 2020, he was selected for the Young Contemporaries Bootcamp by Rele Gallery, later that year, he was invited to the group exhibition ATO Connects by Art Twenty One Gallery; his work was also featured in Diafano Magazine (Barcelona) and Haloscope Magazine (USA). In 2022, his work was featured in the fifth issue of see-zeen. In 2023, he was invited for the group exhibition At Once, Then Again: Selections from Practice by Rele Gallery; later that year, his multimedia project Gently Open The World was broadcast on Oroko Radio.
