Acrylics on canvas, not framed nor stretched. The work focuses on the process of painting, and the process of "belonging".
The edges are deliberately left raw, unrefined, with loose threads hanging down, presenting an unpretentious painting that celebrates the making process. The imagery in the painting was inspired by the ceramic tiles found in my current city of Seville, Spain. "A Distant Sigh" can be displayed either framed (but not stretched, to leave the sides and edges visible) or fastened directly to the wall with magnets.
