Inspired by the historic ceramic tiles of Andalusia, this painting explores absence and memory through painting with muted colours, leaving some areas of the canvas unpainted, using thin glazes, and revealing the underpainting. The work can be stretched/framed, but could also be fastened directly to the wall with magnets or nails. Ships in a tube.
