Fikradis Lamesgen (b. 1998) is a studio artist based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She completed a diploma in painting at Entoto Polytechnic College and obtained a BFA degree in sculpture from Addis Ababa University Alle School of Fine Arts and Design in 2022. Influenced by traditional Ethiopian iconography and the Fauvist painting style, Fikradis utilizes vibrant colors to portray dynamic local female figures in lively interior settings. Additionally, she creates realistic clay sculptures that convey the emotional depth of women she encounters in her daily life. According to the artist, her art "…reflects the multifaceted nature of womanhood, touching on themes of empowerment, cultural expectations, and self-reinvention." Fikradis has exhibited her works in group shows at the AAU Alle School of Fine Arts and Design 2022 Graduation Exhibition, "Three Magical Spirits" at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa in 2023, and "Her Story" at Post Gallery in 2024.
