This piece, was inspired by a call to reimagine Dutch painter, Rembrandt's painting titled Saskia as Flora. This image sparked a series celebrating African heritage. Using photography, I empower my subjects, rejecting stereotypical portrayals. Here, tradition and modernity coexist, with the bold sitter wielding a sweeper as a symbol of strength, not servitude.
