99.8% Alike comments on an article which I stumbled across stating that 99.8% of all human DNA across the world is the same and that only .02% makes you unique.  I was so taken aback by this fact, the outline on a young adult slams strands of fabric and elements of identity back at the viewer in an effort to reach out and engage with those passing by.  Her body is connected to the natural world in the background and her gaze is bold.

Scientists have long recognised that despite physical differences, all human populations are genetically similar, I just don’t think the average man on the street can comprehend just how much the same we all are. A banana has 60% of the DNA of a human, but that’s beside the point here. 99.8% of the DNA sequence is identical from one person to the next, how beautiful is the fact that we are so unique yet we are all made of one cloth.
