Chelsea Young | A Feeling, Called Life
A Feeling, Called Life
“ real changes reveal themselves slowly. all this working of letting go and building self-awareness gives life a new, fresh feel. when you look out into the world, you observe a reinvigorated vibrancy that shines with the opportunity for a better life. you use the power of choice, even when your patterns try to pull you in an old direction. you learn the value of accepting the emotions that come up and being okay when you are not okay; this allows moments of turbulence to pass quietly, leaving your might lighter and eyes clearer. you embrace a life of growth and the truth of change so that inner peace can become your new home. “
Yung Pueblo, from ‘clarity and connection’
Chelsea's body of work specific to this show has transitioned from large-scale, expressive oil paintings created in her studio in Cape Town, to more intuitive textiles based in her studio in Botswana. This show is an echo of her experiences through Southern Africa over the last two years - akin to internal landscapes.
The physical show was at Cavalli Gallery, Curated by Amy Eveleigh.
This show runs online from 1 December 2024 - 1 February 2025.
